Now that the consultation has closed we wanted to give an update on the two applications to the Government&#39;s Levelling Up Fund.Firstly, thank you again for people&#39;s time and input into the consultation. Your voice will be integral as part of our submission and help us indicate the importance of the schemes to Government. The original deadline for Levelling Up Fund bids was the 6th July. Government have extended this due to a problem with the way bids are submitted.We are ready to go for when the deadline is announced, so watch this space for updates on when we have submitted our bids!Doncaster&#39;s Levelling Up Fund Team.

The weekend is upon us, and we’re making one final push to try and increase the number of responses on the site. The great news is every project now has over 100 responses, so a key target milestone has been reached. <img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/commonplace-digital-limited/image/upload/v1656088250/projects/levellingupdoncaster/3eb0a561-f9d6-4bfa-8e61-7b121a2892ad.png" />The responses so far have been brilliant and we’re getting some real insight into how you feel about the different projects.Some of those responses have been really positive such as this one about Mexborough Town Centre: The greenery and trees look beautiful, plant lots of trees it really improves the look as well as clearing the air/emissions and providing a home for wildlife and shade etcBut there are others which express concern and identify elements which they think could be improved such as this comment for Edlington Regeneration: As a disabled person I use a Motability scooter and the pavements in these areas are terrible, more patchwork than smooth. Help to make the village more inviting and people will respect it more.Regardless of how positively or negatively you feel about the projects we are interested to hear what you think. And constructive criticism is extremely welcome!So, as we approach the final two days of this engagement process and you do think of anyone who may be keen to feed back to us, please let them know. Thanks again for your response, and remember, all responses and comments made on the site will remain public for some time to come.

There are only a few days left till we close the site. We’d like to keep it open for longer but need to time to read all your comments and use them for the bids we will be submitting to government on 6th July.As this map shows we are getting responses from a wide area, and crucially from the communities who will be most impacted by these projects if we get the support we need for them to go ahead.<img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/commonplace-digital-limited/image/upload/v1655916363/projects/levellingupdoncaster/74ba7967-faa3-496d-a787-19add8a9c8ab.png" />But it’s more important than ever that we promote this site as widely as we possibly can and we are working hard behind the scenes to encourage schools, local business, and anyone else who can help us, to promote this opportunity and reach those communities.And do take your time to read through the comments that others have left, which is one of the main advantages of using this platform for the engagement.And please continue to help us if you can by promoting the site as widely as possible!

This is a highly competitive process and we need your views to help us develop the strongest bids possible.
